Jeweller Louis Vuitton launches spirit fine jewelry collection: feminine spiritual power and mythical fantasy creatures

Jul 9, 2022

Louis Vuitton has just launched a new season of its fine jewelry collection, "Spirit", which interprets the brand's values through 5 themes – freedom, elegance, dreaminess, sparkle and destinyInspired by mythical fantasy creatures such as phoenixes and dragons, the new work incorporates the brand's iconic "V" shape elementsgeometric trianglescheckerboard grids and other motifs, full of power and allegorical fantasy colors.

This is the fourth fine jewelry collection by the brand's jewelry artistic director Francesca Amfitheatrof, presenting a total of 125 unique pieces, which took more than 40,000 hours to create, making it Louis Vuitton's largest number of fine jewelry collections to date. The rare gemstones presented in the new work took three years to collect, and the most eye-catching ones include 65.26 ct tsavorite10.28 ct Mozambican rubies18.09 ct Sri Lankan sapphiresand 8.9 ct Colombian emeralds.

"Liberty" takes "freedom" as the theme and expresses the true nature. You can see square, triangular diamonds intricate mosaic patterns that recreate LV's signature Damier check and the hinge in the suitcase. The most gorgeous is a double-center stone diamond necklace with sapphire and emerald, like a mysterious matrix of gemstones, and hidden secret words can be seen when flipped to the back.

"Grace" interprets the feminine "elegance", the most complex design is a white gold necklace - the double layer "V" shaped wheel silhouette inspired by the wings of the phoenix, the bottom floor is paved with stepped cut diamonds, the upper layer is more three-dimensional like the phoenix wing silhouette and decorated with a "V" pattern, hanging a rare East African savray weighing 65.26 ct The center stone, oval cut perfectly, rich in color and moving.

Fantasy is a dreamy theme, and the label's initial 'V' runs through the collection – gold outlines a neat 'V' shape like an arrow, paired with pavé-set round diamonds, highlighting the geometric beauty and sparkle. You can see a 2.56ct LV Monogram star-cut diamond and an 8.73ct round diamond that achieves D and IF clarity grades and has a pure and dazzling glow.

"Radiance" pays tribute to the bravery and strength of women by accentuating the "sparkle" of armor like an armor that is layered with gold slices, which are mirror-polished to create a flowing sheen. The necklace works like a neck armor that hugs the neck skin, and the central diamond "V" shape holds up a pillow-cut orange garnet weighing 10.99 ct, and the red hot orange fire contrasts with gold.

Destiny is a subtle blend of triangles and "V" shapes to echo the brand's iconic symbols through intricate and overlapping geometric patterns. The most eye-catching piece is a necklace piece, the center stone is a 10.28 ct pigeon blood red Mozambican ruby with a pure and fiery red glow, and the back hides a detachable design that can be freely converted into a ring to wear. Underneath the necklace is a unique LV Monogram-cut diamond with a sharp outline that matches the shape of the "V".
